"Bourg-la-Reine" at Phalsbourg M4A3 Sherman"Bourg-la-Reine" à Phalsbourg Photos taken on July 14, 2010 / Photos prises le 14 juillet 2010 The tank "Bourg La Reine" was one of the most glorious of the 12th RC, 2nd French Armored Division. It was put out of combat at this location on November 22, 1944 at the time of the liberation of Phalsbourg. It was saved according to General Leclerc's desire and erected into a monument by the town of Phalsbourg in the grateful homage to the liberators, according to the plaque at the site. Le char "Bourg La Reine" fut l'un des plus glorieux du 12ème Régiment de Cuirassiers de la 2ème Division Blindée. Il fut mis hors de combat à cet endroit le 22 novembre 1944 lors de la libération de Phalsbourg.
